Kayah Earthrights Action Network (KEAN) empowers local people with both the knowledge and the skills to protect their rights. KEAN trains the following groups; village leaders, representatives, villagers, government departments, other partners/ CSOs, Youth and Women.

KEAN conducts fact finding to collect documentation on instances of land grabbing, the effect of development projects, customary land use management systems, mining issues and local communities’ natural resources. KEAN primarily uses the documentation methods of:

Advocacy
KEAN advocates government departments, parliamentary parties, armed groups and civil society organisations to support the protection of local indigenous people’s rights. KEAN primarily uses the tactics of:
